PR-AWARD TO GEELMUYDEN.KIESE

The client Kunnskapsforlaget publishing house and Geelmuyden.Kiese PR Agency have been awarded the “Gullkornprisen 2009” in the category “Product profiling of the year” for the launch of the Great Norwegian Encyclopeida online. The Gullkorn jury emphasizes especially the credibility and great media coverage of the campaign.

– The campaign is a creative as well as knowledge-based and has succeeded with a concept that reaches several age groups, says the jury. The campaign has been well integrated and coordinated towards the same strategic targets. At the same time, it includes a varied use of tools. An exciting use of testimonials and alliances has made for effective and truthful communication. The product is packaged in such a way as to induce great credibility, and a very clearly structured media campaign has resulted in media coverage far beyond what one would deem possible for a commercial product

The campaign generated an unusually large media footprint, at 200 articles, 33 radio appearances and 6 TV reports, a broad online debate regarding information quality, 500,000 unique visitors during the first month and recruitment of 400 new content editors during the course of the campaign.
